The goal

We needed a company website that presents our services clearly in several languages, respects the privacy of visitors and runs on very simple hosting: static files only, 10 MB of space, no server-side code and no database.

What we built

  • A static website in plain HTML, CSS and a little JavaScript, with no framework and no build step.
  • Three language versions (English, French and Dari, written right to left), linked with hreflang tags for search engines.
  • Five service pages, an FAQ and a blog.
  • Fonts hosted on our own server instead of Google Fonts, so no visitor data is sent to third parties.
  • No cookies, no analytics and no external scripts.

Security

  • HTTPS with a free Let’s Encrypt certificate, and automatic redirects from http:// and www.
  • Security headers: a Content Security Policy, protection against clickjacking and MIME sniffing, and strict referrer and permissions policies.
  • No folder listings and a custom 404 page.

Results

  • 100Accessibility
  • 100Best practices
  • 100SEO
  • 97Performance (mobile)
  • 118 KBHome page transfer
  • 0Cookies
